FAQ

Solace Wicks

FAQ

What wax do you use?

I choose to work with a soy blend wax. It is a wonderful wax that burns bright and longer due to the soy and holds a great hot throw since it is a blend. It is my goal to pick the highest quality ingredients for your candles.

Do you use essential oils in your candles?

While I love essential oils, fragrance oils are better suited for use in candles. The fragrance oils I use are designed specifically for candles. They burn safely, consistently and give off a better scent throw than essential oils would.

How fragrant are your candles?

I always use the maximum amount of fragrance recommended by the wax manufacturer in all of my candles.

I find that our candles fill a medium-large size room nicely.

What wick should I choose?

I currently offer each candle scent with either a wooden wick or a cotton wick. A cotton wick will give you a better hot throw if that is the most important thing for you. If you like your scent to be a tad bit softer or love the ambiance from the crackling and popping then the wooden wick is the right choice for you.

What is the best way to burn a candle?

For best results, please be sure to follow these guidelines each and every time you burn one of our candles.

• Keep your wick trimmed to 1/4”

•Allow the wax to melt all the way to the side of the glass the first light to keep candle   from tunneling.

• Allow the candle to burn for 2 – 4 hours each time you light it

• Always place the candle on a heat resistant surface when burning it

• Keep candles away from children, pets, drafts & flammable objects

• Do not move the candle while it is burning or if the wax is liquid

• Never leave a burning candle unattended
